For your convenience, we have three locations throughout Staten Island that provide same day walk-in services. At our offices you will find board certified, doctors, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who will provide you with quality healthcare services to get you back on your feet and feeling better.

  • Preventative Care and Wellness
    When you do not feel well and need to be seen right away, our walk-in providers can deliver diagnoses and treatment for everyday illnesses and more severe conditions. They can also provide well visit services including physicals and screenings for annual wellness, school, work, and pre-operation clearance.
  • Prescription Medications
    Our providers can prescribe medication and refills and have them sent to your local pharmacy for quick and convenient pick up.
  • Lab Work and Vaccinations
    Blood work, urinalysis, flu shots, strep tests, pregnancy tests, additional vaccines and immunizations can be conducted on site for your convenience.
  • Chronic Condition Treatment
    Our providers can treat and manage diabetes, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) congestive heart failure (CHF), and much more.
  • Diagnostic Services
    Electrocardiograms (EKG), electrocardiograph (ECG), X-rays, pregnancy tests, and body mass index (BMI) can be conducted at our offices.
  • Preoperative Evaluations
    Prior to undergoing surgery, our providers can conduct an on-site comprehensive exam to identify possible conditions that could lead to complications during the anesthetic, surgical, or post-operative period.
  • Specialist Referrals
    If necessary, our providers can refer you to our network of highly trained specialists in areas such as behavioral health, cardiology, endocrinology, ENT, gastroenterology, oncology, neurosurgery, obstetrics/gynecology, urology, weight loss consultations.

TELEMEDICINE Appointments Are Available:
Everyone has very busy schedules. While it is best to see your primary provider during the year, there are times when a telemedicine visit is preferred. Telemedicine is only available for those patients who are Bedridden, have COVID-19 and are physically unable to come to the office. Feel free to call the office and arrange for a telemedicine visit with your provider.

Meet the Team

  • Alexander Beylinson, DO

    Dr. Beylinson received his BA in biology cum laude from Brooklyn College and went on to receive his DO from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Staten Island University Hospital in internal medicine.

    Dr. Beylinson is board certified in internal medicine. Since joining Richmond University Medical center in 2010, he has held a number of leadership positions including serving as a member of the Medical Executive Committee and the RUMC Strategic Planning Committee, and was most recently appointed, in July 2021, as the president of the medical staff. He is also the president of Amboy Medical Practice.

  • Liane Conte, DO

    Dr. Conte is a board certified Family Medicine physician. She is a graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie Pennsylvania and completed her Family Medicine residency at Reading Hospital in Reading Pennsylvania. She graduated cum laude from Drexel University with a BS in biology and a minor in psychology.

    Dr. Conte is a born and raised Staten Islander. She is looking forward to providing family medical care for patients of all ages and stages. In particular she is passionate about preventive care, listening to your favorite recipes, and providing care that meets you where you are. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking for family and friends, crafting with her partner, and spending summers at the Jersey shore.

  • Tara Farahvash, DO

    Dr. Farahvash is an insightful and intelligent primary care doctor serving the city of Staten Island, NY. Dr. Farahvash earned her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and accomplished her internship at the North Shore – LIJ Health System Plainview Hospital. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Richmond University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Farahvash has treated and managed a myriad of medical dysfunctions. She adapts her consultations and treatment options appropriately to accommodate the individual needs and concerns of her patients. Dr. Farahvash also loves to volunteer her medical expertise. In 2012, she served as a medical volunteer at Richmond University Medical Center, triaging, treating, and managing individuals affected by Hurricane Sandy. She has also lent her skill as an English-Farsi translator to the same institution, on occasion.

  • Paul A. Gessman, MD

    Dr. Gessman is board certified in internal medicine and has been practicing on Staten Island for more than 40 years. He began his career in private practice and currently works under Richmond Health Network, associated with Richmond University Medical Center. Dr. Gessman graduated Stony Brook and continued onto Downstate Medical School where he graduated with his degree as a doctor of medicine. He then went on to do his internship and residency at Staten Island University Hospital. Following his completion, he opened his own practice on Staten Island in 1981 where he remained until joining the Richmond Health Network team in 2017. Dr. Gessman provides care such as routine physicals, blood testing, EKG testing, immunizations, and wellness screenings. He also diagnoses chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia for which he will help manage. Following an assessment, he may refer to various specialties as well as provide information for a patient to get mammogram and colonoscopy screenings. He has served Staten Island well over the years, providing his patients comprehensive care as a primary care physician.

  • Giselle Jimenez, MD, FAAFP

    Dr. Jimenez is a board certified family medicine physician with a special interest in pediatric, adolescent, women’s health, adult, and geriatric population disorders. She completed an intensive three-year residency in family medicine in the Bronx, NY, at BronxCare Health System. During this time, she participated in several quality improvement projects on inpatient and outpatient services, including posting and participating at national levels and AAFP conferences.

    Dr. Jimenez graduated from Iberoamerican University in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. There, she worked in underserved rural areas promoting primary care with the Department of Health; she also worked in Punta Cana with Hospiten Group/Clinic Assist providing tourist medical services within hotels. Additionally, she worked with quality control departments and provided general primary care services to hotel employees.

    As a Staten Island resident, Dr. Jimenez proudly provides services to all ages of the Staten Island population at both of her offices. She is fluent in Spanish.

    She is very happy and grateful to be part of the growing Richmond Health Network and Amboy Medical Practice team of outstanding specialists and primary care doctors.

  • Marianne LaBarbera, MD

    Dr. LaBarbera is a board certified family physician with more than 33 years of clinical practice experience. She cares for patients in person as well as through telemedicine, and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. LaBarbera is a past president of the RUMC medical staff and presently serves as chair of the RUMC Credentials Committee of the Medical Staff and chief of Population Health.

    Dr. LaBarbera is a past president of the New York State Academy of Physicians, representing 6500 family physicians, residents, and students in New York State, and past delegate to the American Academy of Family Physicians.

  • Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Michele McMurray, NP, is double board-certified with ANCC as an adult/gerontology nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist. She has many years of clinical experience as a primary care provider in home care, long term care, and office settings. She has been with Richmond University Medical Center since 2007, initially as a nurse educator, while completing her master’s degree and post master’s certificate. She has been a nurse practitioner with Richmond Health Network since 2016.

    NP McMurray completed her undergraduate nursing degree from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. She completed her master’s degree as a clinical nurse specialist and post master’s certificate as a nurse practitioner from The College of Staten Island. She is a member of The American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society. She was awarded the Sigma Theta Tau Educator of the Year award in 2013.

    NP McMurray has been a Staten Island resident for more than 30 years. She is proud to have the opportunity to serve the adult and geriatric community at 1058 Forest Avenue alongside the other primary care providers and specialists and to be a part of the Richmond Health Network team.

  • Sundee Naing, MD

    Dr. Naing is a board certified internist practicing primary care is Staten Island. Dr. Naing graduated from University of Medicine in Yangon, Myanmar. She completed her internal medicine residency training at Richmond University Medical Center (former St. Vincent Medical Center). With over 20 years spent with Richmond University Medical Center, she has held different positions within the system: faculty hospitalist, director of the Pre-Internship Program, director of the Primary Care Medicine Residency Program, and associate program director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program, before she started primary care with Richmond Health Network.

    She enjoys providing health care to the Staten Island Community.

  • Neil Nepola, MD

    Dr. Nepola graduated from Boston College and went on to study at Manila Central University in the Philippines. After completing a clerkship at Brooklyn Hospital, he did an internship at the US Public Health Service Hospital. Dr. Nepola did his residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry NJ/ St. Peters Hospital in New Brunswick.

    Dr. Nepola is board certified as a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Nepola’s professional appointments include medical staff privileges at Richmond University Medical Center and Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Nepola was also active in the Richmond County Medical Society and the New York State Academy of Family Physicians, where he served in multiple positions, ultimately serving as president of both organization.

    Dr. Nepola continues to practice family medicine in New Dorp, where he has served his patients for thirty four years.

  • Dr Parisi

    Dr. Parisi specializes in internal medicine and has over 37 years of experience in the field of medicine. He was in private practice before joining the Richmond University Medical Center team in 2018. He graduated medical school from Universidad Del Noreste in Tampico, Mexico, and earned his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center of Richmond.

    As a primary care physician, he strongly believes in the doctor-patient relationship as a partnership in which he shares and negotiates decisions with the patient. He attends to the patient with unconditional regard, educates the patient so he/she is well informed, and promotes health education and preventive behavior.

    Dr. Parisi understands that office visits can be difficult for the elderly or medically frail and is pleased to be one of the few physicians who still perform house calls for these patients. He is a proud member of the Staten Island community and speaks fluent Spanish.

  • Peter Stathopoulos, MD

    Dr. Stathopoulos is board certified in internal medicine and has been affiliated with Richmond University Medical Center since 1984. He completed his medical degree at the University of Thessaloniki Medical School in Greece and went on to complete both his internship and residency in internal medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Staten Island. He is fluent in both Greek and Italian. Dr. Stathopoulos has been honored by various organizations for his quality of care as well as for his volunteer work.
