Meet the Team
Dr. Danielle Geraldi-Samara is a board-certified neurologist and fellowship-trained clinical neurophysiologist. She is sub-specialty trained in neuromuscular disease.
Dr. Geraldi-Samara attended Georgetown University where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology, with a dual minor in Philosophy and Theology.
She received her MD from the State University of New York at Syracuse in 2003.
She completed her neurology residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and was selected by the senior faculty to serve as Chief Resident in 2007.
Following her residency, she began her subspecialty fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology and neuromuscular disease, also at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Her academic interest lies in the treatment of persons living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). She currently serves as the Neuromuscular Division Director at Synapticure, a teleneurology platform for patients living with neurodegenerative diseases.
Dr. Samara has been practicing for 15 years and is passionate about enhancing access to care through telemedicine, health care equity and serving her community by providing quality and progressive neurological care. She currently resides on the North Shore of Staten Island with her husband and two teenage daughters.
Office LocationsDr. Shivali Patel, DNP, is a Doctor of Nursing Practice in the Department of Neurosurgery. She graduated at the top of her class in 2022 from Johns Hopkins University. She gained years of experience within the Johns Hopkins Medicine system. DNP Patel, provided acute and inpatient care in numerous departments, including: medical/surgical, neurological intensive care units, medical oncology, orthopedics, cardiac, and spinal cord injury.
During her time at Hopkins, she was also engaged in multiple research projects. One of which led to a scoliosis brace sensor program that was approved and implemented by Hopkin’s Pediatric Orthopedic and selected for podium and poster presentation at an international medical conference in 2022.
DNP Patel was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Society and is also a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. DNP Patel is looking forward to developing long lasting relationships with her patients and empowering them to be an advocate for their own health. DNP Patel also has a passion for teaching and enjoys teaching medical and NP students.
When DNP Patel is not in the office helping patients, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, volunteering with special needs children, giving back to her community, and trying out new restaurants.
