Megan Merrell, MSN, FNP, RN, earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Wagner College. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a registered nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Bellevue Hospital, where she cared for patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
As part of the bariatric and weight management team, Megan focuses on medical weight management, including anti-obesity medications, and helps coordinate the preoperative evaluation and required clearances for patients preparing for bariatric surgery. She also provides long-term postoperative follow-up beginning approximately three to six months after surgery.
